Meet Saul

Growing up, I spent the vast majority of my childhood in Saint Louis Park. It was where I became the person I am today. This city taught me how to work hard, how to care for my community, and how to have empathy for others. It is the reason that I moved back home after college. At a time when most of my peers were aiming to travel, or move to far-flung locales on the coasts, I came home.

Why I'm Running

Since 2014, I've had the opportunity to work in Democratic politics and advocacy. From interning in the State Senate, where I wrote and worked on legislation designed to address rising tuition prices; to working with our senator Amy Klobuchar in Washington D.C.; to flipping two long-held Republican offices (MN-03 and Hennepin County District 7) blue for the first time in generations. I witnessed first-hand the sit-in at the House of Representatives fighting for gun reform. I walked in protests following the murder of George Floyd, demanding justice. I have had the honor of learning from great leaders, fierce organizers, and brilliant policymakers. It is those experiences I want to bring to my hometown.

I am a son of this city. The values, the ethics, and the compassion learned here have given me the opportunity to make change across the state. This city has given me so much, and I cannot think of a better place to continue my passion for public service and to begin my time as an elected official.
